Nestled in a traditional Balinese village, Puri Nirwana is a beautifully designed colonial-style villa set on 50 are of landscaped gardens. Villa LAYOUT
The design of this holiday rental villa makes the most of the ocean-front location and astounding views looking out towards the island of Nusa Penida.
The white villa is cooled by the fresh sea breezes that whisper through the villa, and maximizes the views from many areas of the property. White wooden shutters throughout create a cool, tropical feeling and covered walkways connecting the different areas of the villa add to the feeling of space.
A wide front lawn overlooks the ocean and features two covered bales for dining and relaxing, a stone terrace and a beautiful large pool. Glass transparent fence gives the feeling there is nothing separating you from the beach, which comes alive at sunset with local families.
Impressive living areas, entertainment rooms and private hideaways mean that every guest is catered for. Puri Nirwana features for disabled and an elderly guest is a unique feature and includes doors without doorsteps in all areas around the house (except the Spa) and flat winding paths across the property and a modern elevator that travels between the ground and the first floor.
ABOUT CUCUKAN VILLAGE
With nine major temples in the area guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of Balinese traditions and rituals. A Balinese feast dinner with a choice of sate, suckling pig and traditional dances accompanied by a gamelan orchestra can also be arranged.
The magical black sand beach serves as a dramatic backdrop to village life. Witness the most breathtaking sunrises as the day begins with rays illuminating the ocean horizon.
A favourite with surfers the beach is also frequented by locals collecting the dazzling stones and shells that wash up on shore.
Visit the centre of a Japanese artist who specializes in the art of glass blowing, and hear traditional music accompanied by local Balinese dance, or join in with Sunday beach volley ball or soccer.

Cucukan Village is home to around 200 local Balinese who have lived for hundreds of years within the area, with not a great deal changing over the years. Its secluded proximity to the rest of the island has provided an opportunity for this tiny village to achieve its own special identity. These gentle Balinese farmers, who tend their rice paddies, geese, ducks and pigs, are also expert fishermen who launch in the early hours bringing back a delectable seafood each day.
